Aku no Hana

It has been a while I got this excited for an anime. In fact, I can't remember the last anime that got me all worked out like this. Needless to say, I think Aku no Hana is a very awesome anime. I definitely recommended it to everyone.

A Year Older: Again

It’s that day when I got another level up in life. I’m turning a year older again today. So many things have changed in a course of a year. I read what I wrote on my birthday last year and I almost choked with laughter at how ridiculous everything sounds.

Goodbye 2012 and Hallo 2013

So overall, year 2012 has indeed been kinder to me. I have achieved what I set out to achieve but most importantly, I unexpectedly found love which is easily the highlight of the year for me.

Light Writings: Love II

I need an outlet to express how I feel nowadays. To be honest, things are going too good for me at the moment to the point that I am sort of living in fear for I do not want these extremely good feelings, and the love I have for him to end. If all these are gone tomorrow, there is a big probability that I might lose sanity.

Light Writings: Crush II

Welp, looks like we are having this conversation again after so many years. Well 2 years and 3 months to be exact. The last time I wrote about my crush, I was in a different state of mind where I know it can be nothing more than just that, a crush.

First Impression: Litchi☆Hikari Club

In my preview, I said that this show looks pretty awesome. Either that or it's another scam but the overall character designs from the poster sure is intriguing.

From what I understand, this show which is also known as Lychee Light Club, is an adaptation of a horror manga with the same title. Please do not let the horror tag turn you off  though since this is supposedly to be a comedy show as well. I wonder how this show will translate from manga to anime since it's only 2 minutes long.

Well, worry not. Though it's short, it didn't waste any time with stupid OP or ED. It get straight to the point by introducing us to the characters in a way that won't confused us much. There are 9 boys who are in the club, a robot and a girl name Kanon. Zera is their leader who I think is not much of a leader. Also, I think they came up with the horror tag thanks to the Lychee (that's the robot they created) that listens to Kanon otherwise, this show is brimming with comedic values.

Sadly, I do not recognized any of the seiyuu (which goes to show that my anime skills are not as sharp as it used to be) but I think they sound perfect for their characters so no complaining. I also approved of the arts and character designs of this show. It fits with the whole comedy-psychological-horror theme of the show.

I read reviews that said this show is so far off from the original source. Thank goodness that I didn't read the manga then otherwise perhaps I too would have raged. I ended up enjoying it instead.

I guess this isn't something I will recommend for an avid manga fan but if you are not, I don't think you'll regret watching this. Try it.

First Impression: Little Busters!

From the preview, Little Bastards, I mean Little Busters!, has nothing to offer me. It looks like another typical harem show which most of the time, I am not too fond of. The only reason why I'm curious about this show is the fact that it is produced by J.C. Staff. I have faith in them so lets hope the show won't be too shitty.

(c) Shino

Well... after I have watched the first episode, I did not understand shit and I am not sure whether that is a good thing or not.

The plot is pretty random. Everyone seems to put Kyousuke, the "hero" so-to-say, on a pedestal. He with four others of his friends sort of live in their own world, where most of what they do were on Kyousuke's whim. They are not of the same age though. Kyousuke is the oldest and Rin, his sister is the youngest. Kyousuke is in his third year and will be leaving them soon so in order to do things together like they used to, Kyousuke suggested that they play baseball. Like I said, it's pretty random.

I am not gonna write anything bad about the arts and animation since after all, this is produced by J.C. Staff. They won't do a bad job at it. The character designs however is something that I am  familiar with. Kyousuke especially reminds me Otonashi from Angel Beats! Or is it just me? =\

The show surprises me in a way that I actually like Rin. I usually dislike arch-type character like her. If I have any complains, its the male seiyuus. I don't think any of the male seiyuus fit the characters that they voiced for. Kyousuke for example, sounds too... snobbish. I thought that it's kinda odd.

Little Busters isn't shitty but it isn't good either. Another average show in the history of anime. Not sure if I will watch this. Most probably I will end up downloading the episodes but won't watch it anytime soon, or be forever in my waiting list. Perhaps it would be more appealing if I read the visual novel...

Diary of a tard: Week 2, November 2012

Tuesday, November 13

I came across Spotted Flower by accident on twitter but once I clicked on that link, I can't stop reading it. It's about a newly wed otaku and his pregnant wife. Looks like his wife got him on the leash and she is horny all the time. It's an interesting take of how otaku men will react when given that kind of situation. He sure blushed a lot more than she did heh. She always tried forcing him to make love to her but he just can't, or rather not interested, since she's pregnant and all that. Well, I can't blame her. 9 months without sex can be suffering XD

this page got me hooked :w

Thursday, November 15

Kyousogiga episode 3: Yase Youkai ain't exactly as she looks. She has quite a temper and will turn into a monster whenever something displeased her. This episode is sorta all over the place. It's about Station Opening where all things that are no longer needed will drifted away to who-knows-where. It is also sort of an introduction to the youkai's world in general.

Bleach: Chapter 500

It has been more than 3 months since I last read Bleach. I have forgotten why I stopped reading it but mostly, and probably because I got sick at how ridiculous Tite Kubo was at that time. I hope shit gets better now though. Then again, I can never leave Bleach for too long. I love the series regardless.

In previous chapter, we all know that Ichigo is trapped in the cage but Soul Society was too excited with the news that he's coming, they didn't realize this until after they announced over Soul Society that he's coming and the fact that his bankai can't be stolen by the Quincy.

As they were trying to send rescue team to find Ichigo, Jindanbou came and attacked the 12th Division lab.

It was chaos as they were killing each other.

And it was torture for Ichigo since he can hear everyone but cannot respond to their cries for help.

But it seems like help is on its way as Opie got killed for real this time but it is still a mystery who did it and whether or not s/he on Soul Society side because it looks like Urahara is under attack too. I mean, if Urahara can't detect her/he, then surely he's good enough to rescue everyone, including Ichigo.

Kyousogiga episode 2: Everything is over the top with this episode. Shouko lost her remote control and sent all her troops all over town to find it. Lucky for her that Fushimi has installed a GPS tracking system on that remote and found it, but after she blew up half of the town though.

Sunday, November 11

I know I am gonna pretty much rage watching episode 4 of K. The fact that Kuroh is making bento for Yashiro is enough shit to start with. I want a badass show, not something gay like this. This episode pretty much focused on Yashiro trying to prove himself innocent by going around the campus to find an alibi. He did find one but after that, he found the bloody uniform he wore on the day of the crime. Okay... things are getting interesting now.

uh oh he's in trouble now...

Teekyuu episode 4: They all went to the pink haired girl house where they do some rather random things as usual only to find out in the end that it's not her house. LOL. Mean while in episode 5, they decided to practice some tennis but of course that's not what they were doing. It's alright though. That what makes this less-than-3-minutes show so enjoyable. I wish I have random girl friends like Yuri. Oh wait, I already have, but they are all males XD

Episode 2 of Lychee Light Club: they were trying to modify Lychee so it can performed other tasks but failed as each of them just give stupid suggestion though at the end, the van idea isn't bad at all. By this episode, it is clear we have a bunch of guys with different personality to amuse us, from a genius to gay to a masochist and everything in between. I keep expecting them to have an orgy LOL

Lychee Light Club episode 3: Suda proposed that they used Lychee as a sales tool since his uncle, a CEO of automotive company is interested to mass produced Lychee because of the greener technology (Zera used lychee fruit as Lychee's fuel). When the CEO came to look at Lychee, it mistaken his bald head as the fruit and freaking eat him. Heh, there goes their plan of getting rich.

Light Writings: Love II

It has been a while since I write anything personal. I guess I just need an outlet to express how I feel nowadays. To be honest, things are going too good for me at the moment to the point that I am sort of living in fear for I do not want these extremely good feelings, and the love I have for him to end. If all these are gone tomorrow, there is a big probability that I might lose sanity.

I have always been better at expressing myself when I put it in writing. Writing is constant, real and something that I can rely on to when everything else fails. I hope I won't miss anything though. Then again, I can always write some more.

(c) TCB

Lets start by me telling you guys that this feels so new to me. I have been in relationships before, four to be exact in a span of more than 10 years. In average, each of my relationship lasted 4 years. It's a freaking long time, of which were not wasted as it made me grow as a person and made me appreciate what I feel and what I have right now even more.

I told you guys about my crush back in July. 4 months have gone by since then. I thought that my crushing on him will probably disappear as it did with my previous crush but instead I found myself just falling deeper for him as the days go by. Not that I am complaining... heh. I have also talked about love and what I think of it. It has changes slightly, how I feel, but in my opinion, those are extra added flavors to make it even more worthwhile.

In my previous relationships, it was always the guys who approached me, and they are all my bestfriends that ended up somehow as my jerks. Given my personality, I can understand why was it only those who are close to me ended up liking me because to be honest, I am someone that you might be having a hard time to understand. If you  asked me, I still have no idea what made them like me in the first place LOL.

The person that I thought I am in love with, well, turned out that was just me hallucinating. Or perhaps I did love him once but it sure didn't last. When he came back, I quickly realized that I have fallen totally out of love with him. There were nothing between us, we both know we won't make the other happy hence why I broke off the engagement few months before we were supposed to get married. I let everything go because in a way, I have found new love.

Or you can call it a crush if you want.  I don't particularly care. I know what I feel and that's all that matters.

In my previous post about love, I said that I don't get jealous. Well, not anymore and fuck I seriously hate that feeling. It is so fucking tiring. But as the Malay proverb goes, cemburu tandanya sayang (translation: jealousy is the sign of love), I guess it is sort of true. It's stupid though and I don't have any control over those feelings. I can however pretend that it doesn't affected me at all. Pretend is the key word because at the end of the day, it still hurts.

Karma is a bitch I guess. I often disregard my jerks when they said they were jealous XD

Friends who are close to me keep telling me how I have changed and I admit that indeed I have. It is something that I cannot control. I'm pretty much powerless. I am still me though. I just want to assure my friends that my resolves are not that weak.

Those friends know me as a socially awkward person. I hate people in general except for the special few who I regard as my friend. I preferred to stay in my room watching anime and reading books instead of hang out with my friends.

Not anymore I don't. Part of it comes from my line of work but most of it because I enjoy the company I am with. I just have so much love to give that I feel it is a waste if I shy away from him. After all, I am the kind of person that take challenges by the horn. I just need to gather up my courage before I do that though.

Why the long wait? Well, I have to be sure and I have never been so sure in my entire life. Whenever I think about my future, he's in it and it makes me goes "FUCK GET OUT OF THE WAY!" LOL but it won't work. I can't imagine my life without him in it anymore. The fact that I now have hopes is not good. Hopes lead to expectations. Expectations lead to disappointment. Disappointment leads to fear. I am trying hard not to let all of these lead to suffering that spawn out of anger and hatred.

This might sounds like I'm putting so much pressure on him but like I said, love is supposed to be selfless and I still believe that. Love is something that you cannot force after all. Lets not forget that I am a big believer in fate as well :)

The reason why I am writing this post is simple. I feel vulnerable.

Me being me, I hate that.

Oh well, lets hope that this love story of mine has an incredible ending that isn't cliche.

To be continued...

First Impression: Chousoku Henkei Gyrozetter

Lets be totally honest here. The only reason I'm checking this out is because this show is produced by A-1 Pictures otherwise I wouldn't be bothered at all. Mecha is just not something that is appealing to me especially since it looks like this show is targeted for children under the age of 12 >_>

This fanart can be so misleading and yet so appealing for pedophile
(c) Ama Mitsuki

My intuition was right though, this show is just ridiculously bad that I feel sorry for being an A-1 Pictures fan. It's about a city of AI cars where even kids can drive a car as long as they have their drivers ID. Then somehow later on in the episode, they have mecha fighting. I just don't get it and like I said, this shit is terribad.

Or maybe it wasn't. They just decided to use the Transformers idea and adapted it to become an anime because this is certainly what this show is all about. They just renamed it to Gyrozetter. Urgh, awful shit.

The pace of the story is all over the place and the use of CGI is too obvious for the car. It was messy from start to finish, from the arts to the story itself. I wonder how the fuck did A-1 Pictures agreed to produce this. Maybe Toyota, Nissan and other Japanese car manufacturers are sposnsoring this show though as they clearly used Prius and GTR cars as part of the show's characters, so they did it for money? If they are, I am terribly disappointed.

I'm dropping this and putting this away in the anishit pile.

Diary of a tard: Week 5, October 2012

Sunday, October 28

Episode 156 of Gintama started with the parody of MGM silent film focusing on Elizabeth who runs errand for Katsura, looking for Oedo store to buy him shampoo. It was meaningless as fuck, as expected of Gintama. Then the episode just gets weirder when Gintoki went to a whinery where you can complain all you want. Mayori Samurai, Gorilla and Pony-chan joined him later on and the dialogs are just superb. Even though we didn't see any of the said characters, it was brilliantly written that I don't even mind we didn't get to see Gintoki. In the end, we were being trolled. LOL

When there is Otsu, be sure that the episode will revolve around Sinpachi. Gintama episode 157: Sinpachi versus Toshi as Otsu's fan quit and join Hijikata (Toshi) fan club Tsusengumi instead where they are allowed to be fan of different faction. The fight to be Otsu official fan club starts now

Continuing from last episode of Gintama, the battle continues in episode 158. The Shinsegumi members are helping out Hijikata while Sinpachi has problem with Takachin who was knocked over by Okita. If one of their members give up, they will be disqualified from the battle and thus lost.

Teekyuu episode 2 and 3: The introduction of Nasuno, another hopeless basketcase and Marimo who is a pervert who is always looking for opportunity to eat Yuri's underwear LOL

First Impression: Teekyuu

I didn't pay any attention to this show at first. Saw a few seconds of it and thought that it was shit. But I was extremely bored today and the saw the file again and decided to check it out properly. I am glad that I didn't delete them after the first try.

the girl in green reminds me of princess bubblegum

Teekyuu is a sport anime that revolves around tennis. The first episode shows two girls, one of them is trying to learn how to play while the other is the one who is showing her the ropes.

The pace was absurd but then again the whole setting for this 2 minutes episode show is absurd so it works out just fine. The comedy, though some jokes are just too fast for me to digest, is still funny and thus this show exceeded my expectation which is a good thing.

The characters aren't your typical arch-type characters. I thought the pink-haired girl would be annoying as fuck but turned out she was the one that made this show funny, with all her stupid interactions with the other characters (it's 2 minutes per episode, I won't waste my energy trying to remember the name of these characters).

Definitely going to watch the other episodes. I am downloading them now :)

Diary of a tard - Week 4, October 2012

It has been too long since I wrote any post for this blog. My life just take precedence at the moment and I am enjoying every moment of it. It's not like I have stopped watching anime altogether. Heavens NO! I just watch less of them now and since I don't have time for anime, the time I did have, I rather spend it by watching them instead of writing a post about it. To be honest, it's not a good strategy for me since I tend to forget most of what I saw and hence have no recollection of certain shit. However, given the circumstances, I just have to deal with it somehow.

Monday, October 22

Episode 2 of K: I was greatly disappointed with the development. First of all, I still dislike Isana Yashiro a lot, and then they decided to add a cat based character in a form of a naked chic with huge tits. That just totally turn me off about this anime. This episode is about Yatagami getting along with Isana somewhat. It was supposed to be quite comedic I guess but I fucking hate it.

Tuesday, October 23

Episode 3 of K: This is more like it as we are no longer focusing on Black/White but instead Blue/Red of which my favorite pair since the beginning. Anyhoo, Kuroh changed his mind about killing Shiro which disappoint me greatly. As for the Blue/Red, there were some action and more information revealed about them in this chapter. I don't think the pace of this show something that I'm happy about.

First Impression: Kyousogiga (2012)

After the one episode ONA, they have decided to do 5 episodes ONA for Kyousogiga. Too bad the release dates for the five episodes are too far apart and is scheduled to end in December. Furthermore, each episode is only 10 minutes long. But nonetheless, it's better than nothing, right?

The first episode pretty much introduced us to Koto's childhood, where she lives and trained by her master, mostly known as Fox. The both of them didn't go by the rules, and shared something in common. Both of them have crimson eyes which in my opinion, hot as fuck, especially if he's a guy. But that aside, something that her master said, made her wants to find her mom, even though as she grew up, she knew that she doesn't exist but pretends that she is anyway.

The two kids from the previous ONA are actually her familiars, A and Un. Now that she's in mirror city Kyoto, she lives with Myoe, the priest that take care of them and so the wackiness continue.

Towards the end of the episode, a gate appeared and looks like Koto is about to go through. We just have to wait another month to see where it leads >_>

My thoughts about the production, seiyuu, and everything else regarding Kyousogiga remain the same. It is still manage to grab my attention and fulfill my desire for something different. Thank you Toei Animation.

Thursday, September 20

Tight Rope disappoint me in more ways than I expected. The plot was weak and shit there are no smex at all. Fuck, I can't even recall what was it about anymore, that's how forgettable the shit is.And that's about all I have to say about it.

Saturday, September 22

Resuming Ai no Kusabi episode 3 and 4. Kirie sure gets on my nerves. They went to a pet action where Iason saw Riki once again. Kirie who wants to move up a rank, was taken in by Iason to be a servant under Katze. I wonder what he's thinking. Episode 4 is pretty much Riki reminiscing about Iason, how they met and how he became Iason's pet. I wonder if Iason ever fucked Riki for real...

Diary of a tard: Week 4, August 2012

Wednesday, August 29

Kokoro Connect episode 5: It's a confession episode starting with Aoki and Yui and then Taichi and Iori. Yes, I am fucking mad as hell with this development. I don't like them both anymore. Anyway, after Taichi confessed to Iori, Heartseed pretty much took control of Iori's body and sent her down the river. He turned up again at the hospital and asked the rest to decide who should die with Iori's body. Of course Taichi volunteered but he got denied. Then Aoki switched to allow Iori has one-on-one time with the rest of them. When it Taichi's turn, they fucking kiss. The truth is, Heartseed was just trolling them. Iori survived which fucking pissed me off further. Grrrr...

A boring episode of Kokoro Connect (episode 6). They don't swapped body but now they are unleashing their inner desires. It started with Inaba trying to rape Taichi, and it continues with the others but of course since Taichi confessed to Iori, I have lost interest with all the other characters except for Inaba. Anyway, Taichi can look after Iori and Aoki will looke after Yui. None actually worried about Inaba when she's the one who is suffering the most. I feel like I wanna give Inaba a long warm hug right now.

Thursday, August 30

In episode 7 of Kokoro Connect, everyone is on edge and they ended up hurting each other feelings but not as much as everyone hurting Inaba. They all assumed she's the strongest of them all well, fuck them. In particular, fuck Taichi. He's selfish as fuck too and has no right to be mad at Inaba.

What happened to the pace of Kokoro Connect? Episode 8 wasn't any better. Everyone can't talk to each other because they ended up hurting each other. Fujishima really shined in this episode though. Oh btw, Taichi, Iori and Inaba are supposed to go on a field trip. Let see how that goes.

Saturday, September 1

Tsuritama episode 10: The four guys finally reunited but JFX has already taken over the naval fleet before they could fish him out of the water. There were some unnecessary dorama between Yuki and Haru which made me dislike Haru even more. Also, I think Natsuki has lost his spunk after he got his hair cut. He wasn't as fun as he used to be imo.

First Impression: Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate

Another show that I am more than ready to dismiss. I hope it serves more than just kids eating food in the food club. That would be another K-ON and I think we all have enough K-ON at the moment. I decided to give this one a try because of the arts and the character designs of which I saw in the preview. Like I said, AIC Build better up their games for this one.

Unfortunately they don't. What I see in the preview does not translated to the animated show. There, I am already disappointed.

because in the anime, they censored it. Also because she's the only likeable character for me personally
(c) Akinashi Yuu
Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate is about a food club that is going to be disbanded soon since it's not productive at all. They just sit there and eat snacks while having yaoi jokes every so often.  So they decided to run for president of the student council and naturally Yuuki was selected to do the honor. The good thing about this show however, it not just that. It has mysteries to uncover. There are certainly villain in this one who ran over a student who is now pretty much brain dead. The said student gathered some evidence of some shit and obviously the villain doesn't want anyone to find out.

So yeah, wasn't bad for a story, except for them eating all those junk food in the club.

Like I said, I was pretty disappointed with how the arts and animation turned out. I was trolled. The character designs are pretty generic and to be honest, most of the characters annoyed the shit out of me, even Yuuki who is voiced by Yuuichi Nakamura. I wasn't sure whether I dislike them because of their personality, character designs or their voices.

Though I am not dropping this show, I wonder if I will ever sit down and watch it at all. Hmm... who knows. Maybe? Perhaps never?

First Impression: Natsuyuki Rendezvous

For some reason I totally forgot about noitaminA shows this season. I can't say that it doesn't has an impact since I did notice people talking about this show a lot on twitter. If I didn't check my preview before I write this first impression post, I would have not noticed that this was featured in the supposedly prestigious list of anime that are featured in noutaminA slot.

Natsuyuki Rendezvous is about this guy Hazuki Natsuyuki who has a crush on a lady who is the owner of a flower shop. That crush turns to love and when opportunity presented itself, he applied to work part time there. He then met the deceased husband Atsushi Shimao, who basically is a ghost, and totally has no respect for the dead even though he's trying to score with Rokka. This show is going to be about acceptance of fate, challenging oneself for the sake of love, and learning to let go when it's time to do so.

Just for the record, I am a fan of Atsushi Shimao. I see a lot of myself in him. At the same time, I am Hazuki who is crushing on his co-worker.

I have no complain about the art, animation, overall sound and other details. I freaking love the OP and ED. It managed to move me the first time I heard it and that's great. Quality anime is full of quality after all.

Watching Natsuyuki Rendezvous is like watching my life gets animated. It wasn't funny or fun at all.  I mean, Rokka and Natsuyuki even work together. That is just too much of a coincidence.

Given my condition at the moment, I have my own reason for delaying with the first impression. I am struggling with my own emotions and feelings towards my crush too so watching this just reminds me a lot about my repressed feelings towards him that it sort of hurts... and as I have feared, I was left with the feelings of bitterness at the end of the episode.

Which mean that this show truly deserved the noitaminA slot, if it can moves me like that. Having said that, I still hate having this feeling though. Just goes to show how fucking vulnerable I really am actually.

If only people bother to see through my facade.

Diary of a tard: Week 1, August 2012

Sunday, July 29

Watching episode 2 of Sword Art Online because I feel obliged to do so. Diabel, another beta tester, gathered the players in order to defeat the first floor boss. This is where Kirito met Asuna as they formed a guild together. During the fight, Diabel was killed but he handed over his responsibilities to Kirito who did perfectly, with the help from Asuna of course. They managed to defeat the first floor boss and proceed. Towards the end, there were some players who were unhappy that Kirito is a beta tester. In order not to let them be divided, Kirito played the bad guy role. He was given the nickname "beater" and so he will continue his journey alone, wearing the midnight cloak. I gotta say that the episode was intense and my heart grows fonder for Kirito.

So freaking moe
(c) Kiri Nin
Yurumate 3Dei episode 11: Yurume had her first nightmare of the year. Then somehow they end up writing a Happy New Year calligraphy. It was fine until Kumi came along and convinced Matsukichi to write his secrets. As usual Matsukichi fell for it. That dude is hopeless...

First Impression: Muv-Luv Alternative - Total Eclipse

It was easy for me to dismiss this show and put it in the anishit list for my preview for the simple fact that I am not a fan of boobs or any of the genres. I have also seen figures being made for this show which often means that I made the right decision. My logic is fucked up sometimes but I'm fine with it. Problem?

Muv-Luv Alternative is pretty much about a bunch of girls driving a mecha to fight off alien invaders. They are still kids with barely any training but obviously one/two of them girls will be great and such. It is a pretty much standard mecha story all over again. Having said that, the pace was good and the setup wasn't all that bad at all.

I just don't understand the tight-suit part. Why the hell they have to create it to look like that? Did pervert invented them? That should explain all the unnecessary exposures. And why the hell am I ranting about this shit?

Anyhoo, I wasn't a fan of the character designs. It was typical and wasn't even that sharp. Maybe they literally took the 90's concept because it really does feels outdated. The sound, especially during the war, was pretty accurate though so credits for that. Too bad I don't really pay any attention to the seiyuu but overall I think they did good.

I stand corrected though. This show does not deserved a place in my anishit list at all. Unfortunately, like I said, I am not a fan of the genres and so, even though I somewhat enjoyed the first episode, I doubt that I will have time to sit through the rest of 23 episodes. I don't think I will enjoy it that much.

However I will watch several more episodes just because I want to see Daisuke Ono's character. Heh.

First Impression: Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita

My first impression of this show was when I read the synopsis for the preview. I thought that it borrowed most of the ideas from Smurf and since I was once a fan, I know I will be very critical at reviewing this first episode. Lets just hope it won't disappoint me too much.

Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita or Humanity has Declined in English, is about this girl who deals with fairies. This show took place where food are scarce for the human. She, her assistant and an old guy went to the fairies' place to investigate how the hell they produced food. Apparently it was all synthesized shit.

I was ready to drop it after 10 minutes in but conversation with Lord Jagganath in Twitter forced me to watch this episode till the end. And so I want to thank him for that.

The bleeding loaf changed my mind, and I have seen the other incoming mindfuck shit. I liked it.

THIS!

The art and animation, except for the character designs, are pretty solid in my opinion. Although the background are pretty much static, I like how they played with the color technique. It gave this 'drawing' feels to it. The characters could look more lively to match with the background though.

Was it just me or did anyone else thought that the fairies sound annoying as hell?

I was just about to list this show as the first anishit list of the season but changed my mind after I've seen the later half of the episode. Lesson learn today: don't be too quick to judge.

First Impression: Joshiraku

I am giving this show an opportunity to impress me since it was produced by J.C. Staff. I hope it won't be another K-ON and turned out it is rather similar though feels completely different.

Joshiraku is about 5 girls who sorta work at some stand up (though they just sit down) comedy joint. Though the showed them performing their jokes (that I didn't get), most of the comedy comes from the "normal conversation" that they had backstage. It was random of fuck which reminds me of Nichijou and somewhat Lucky Star as well.

(c) Yasu

I don't feel right blaming the production studio about when I failed to find (some of) the jokes funny. Maybe it has to do with culture etc in order for the jokes to make sense, hence funny. But yeah, I guess I was pretty much lost.

I like the fact that all five girls are wearing haori. It's not often that we see such things in anime nowadays. I appreciate their effort to keep their culture alive. Having said that, I thought that they can do more with the whole art and animation. More expression perhaps?

The OP wasn't half bad but I thought that the ED was super cute with them being chibi and all and singing somewhat rap song.

Unfortunately, I don't think I will be watching this anytime soon which mean this show will go to my waiting list that grows longer every time the new season arrived. It wasn't impressive enough.

Oh well, at least it is not another K-ON!

First Impression: Binbougami ga!

I'm checking all these stupid shows so that you don't have to. Aren't I nice or aren't I nice? But in all honesty, I don't think this show is going to be bad if they managed to get the comedy to be actually funny for a change. So I'm crossing my finger and hope that it will manage to make me laugh at least once.

(c) Petarou
Binbougami ga! is about Mimoji who is the God of Misfortune and Ichiko, the girl with all the fortune in the world. Ichiko is causing inbalance to the world so Mimoji was sent to set things right. It was fun in the beginning, where Mimoji just said whatever the fuck she wanted but then when Ichiko was introduced, I lost any interest with the show. She was annoying.

As I thought, I won't be watching this show either. It is just too stupid for me and the joke ain't funny either. Most of them were overused. I stuck to the end of the episode waiting for Hiro's character to made an appearance but he never did which mean I just have to watch the second episode. Damn it.

I guess I'll watch until episode 2 and see how it goes. Jeebus I'm such a seiyuu fag.

edit: I've watched the 2nd episode and still no Hiro. I feel cheated. Fuck this I'm dropping this shit.

Tsuritama episode 9: the whole of Enoshima has been evacuated due to the mass attack on people by the JFX. Haru and Koko tried to stop the alien but Koko was killed in the process. Due to this Haru went back to Enoshima and helped with the evacuation. He sent Yuki away as well who is coming back to Enoshima to help Haru. Akira on the other hand has sorta left DUCK and is determined to help Haru as well. Natsuki isn't much of a help though >_>

this fanart has nothing to do with the context

Episode 3 of Kokoro Connect: Inaba sorta pushed Taichi to get together with Iori. Her reason being that Iori might be broke down at any given moment. I have different idea though. By the way she reacts, it looks like Inaba is the one who needs all the mental help she can get. In the mean time, the episode revealed that Yui suffers from androphobia, but nothing that Taichi can't help it, even if it means that he'll be loosing his manliness. And, the end of the episode got me hook like shit. Inaba lost consciousness in front of Taichi and BAM! TAICHI x INABA FTW!!

The microbes are seriously getting annoying, reminding Sawaki that he hasn't told Oikawa yet about his ability in every god damn episode so far. Episode 3 of Moyashimon is no exception. Sadly though, the microbes ain't the only one who gets on my nerves. Oikawa as well. Turned out the underground "secret passageway" that she suspected was just a brewing cellar used by the professor and Yuki. Speaking of Yuki, I want to see him in a man clothes again!

Kokoro Connect episode 4: Apparently Iori has trauma too so Inaba asked Taichi to help her as well. Iori doesn't know who she really is since she's good at creating a persona to cater what people want of her. But of course Taichi promised that he will never let Iori lose herself in the process. I thought he said something to himself along the line of "because I love..." but was interrupted by Inaba's voice in his head calling him a selfless freak. This episode seemed to focus on Taichi helping out the girls. Inaba is not without worries either as she told him about her insecurities and not being able to trust anyone. Taichi convinced her to tell that to the rest of the club member at the price of telling her his biggest secret... that he masturbated to Inaba. BEST PICK UP LINE EVER.

now kissu!

First Impression: Campione!

Magical shit and harem loves comedy are two things that I am not really fond of so from the beginning I have this notion that this show is either gonna makes me rage, or it will makes me rage. I hope by the end of this first episode, it will present a third option for me. I don't have to like it, but it has to be tolerable at least.

(c) sikorsky
Campione! is about Godou who went to Italy to deliver a stone tablet which turned out to be a grimoire. He met Erica, a magical girl and immediately after that was attacked by heretic god who looks like a wild boar. 48 hours later, Godou became the 6th (or was it 7th - I wasn't paying attention) lord of the world, since obviously he helped at defeating the said God.

It was all too lame for me to even consider watching this shit.

The art and animation was borderline average. I don't give a damn about the seiyuu since they failed to grab my attention the first time around and so I ended up raging to this show just like I have predicted.

I dropped it after 8 minutes in.

First Impression: Chitose Get You!!

Chitose Get You! is another 3 minutes anime that aired this season and I wasn't so fond of the idea behind the story, especially since the way it was drawn, Chitose looks like a kindergarten kid to me than an 11 year old kid.

This show is about Chitose obsessing over her male teacher. This reminds me a lot of Hanamaru Youchien that was aired back in Winter 2009 and my opinion for such show still hasn't changed much. Even though there are some moments where I thought Chitose might made me laugh with her antics, the joke sorta fall short.

So I guess that's about it. My adventure with Chitose ends here. I don't have time to see an 11 year old kid getting horny.

Asa Made Jugyou Chu! (OVA)

When I checked MAL for info on this OVA, there are few things that stood out that made me cringed. Shall I list down the shit that I already end up hating about this show even before I see it? Alright then. First up, like I said in my preview, most of the anime shows will have the exclamation mark in it (except for Working!! because that's from A-1 Pictures and is awesome as fuck) are stupid. Then there's the character designs. It's too shoujo-ish for my taste. Also, why does a boy used the voice of a female seiyuu? Last but not least is this show is considered an ecchi anime, a genre that I rarely approved of.

So why bother watching at all, you asked?

Well... I am curious and I just need to confirm that I was right about this show being stupid.

and Yuuki just watched. I was very disappointed T___T
This OVA is about a boy named Yuuki who get into the school on scholarship. Problem is, one of the slut teacher accidentally (I suspect purposely) put him in the girls dorm. If that's not enough, she even offered to stay together with him in the samee freaking room to look after him. Oh and you bet that that is not the only thing she offered.

  1. She offered her naked body as compensation for Yuuki's porn magazine.
  2. She offered Yuuki spanking time to release his stress. She even cum.
  3. She offered Yuki to fondle with her butthole
  4. She offered Yuki a chance to see her making out with Takabane, both are very naked indeed.
So yeah, that lucky bastard Yuuki however is gay which just pissed me off so fucking bad.

I would have preferred if he jumped that slut and fucked her hard and tell her who's the man in that dorm.

Oh well, this show is disturbing to an extend but stupidly funny because Yuuki was so gay.

First Impression: Oda Nobuna no Yabou

I find myself attracted to anything historical as of late. First it was the Shinsengumi era, then the Nobunaga era. Besides, this one is produced by Madhouse so I expect something tolerable if not great. I did change my mind about it when I saw the character designs so at least they have done something right there.

Ambition of Oda Nobuna is pretty much like any other anime that evolves around Nobunaga: of conquering Japan with his/her sidekick and enemies. In this show though, there is the added element from the future which is Sagara Yoshiharu, a really good looking boy, who somehow ended up in the era and is helping out Nobuna. I'm pretty sure they will end up together eventually but I just can't seem to care.

though I don't mind reading the doujinshi about these two =\

The comedy was cheap and borderline stupid. Most of it comes from the over-reaction from Yoshiharu. The story was weak and doesn't has anything new to add for this genre of anime. Basically I was disappointed.

But like I said, at least Madhouse does something right with the character designs, animation and the whole shebang. They were above average. Too bad the story failed to add value to the arts and animation otherwise this could have been tolerable for me.

Which means I am dropping this show without any regrets whatsoever. I'm not saying that it is shit though. It's just not my cup of tea.

Moyashimon Returns episode 2: Oikawa is not giving up about the dungeon she found in episode 1. She dragged Sawaki to help her investigate, which in turn told the two nerds. Oikawa was touched that they believed her regardless. On the other hand, Hasegawa is being pressured by her dad about marriage and the professor ain't happy that Oikawa was sneaking around campus.

Episode 2 of Kokoro Connect: They found out that all this swapping personality phenomenon is caused by Heartseed who observed them and control when will it end. He used Goto's body to communicate with the kid. I am just loving the interaction between the characters especially when they swap bodies. This episode is philosophically more complicated than the first episode and set up something rather fascinating stuff for the rest of the journey. I'm enjoying this show a lot at the moment.

First Impression: Kokoro Connect

When I did the preview for Summer, I was under the impression that Kokoro Connect will be about gender bender and honestly that what caught my interest about this show. I hope my expectation will be fulfilled and it is not just another generic slice of life anime that reminds me of K-ON.

Kokoro Connect is about five students who formed a Student Cultural Club because they don't belong or refused to be part of any of the existing club at their school. This show ain't about them having tea and have useless activities after school though (though that's pretty much what they are doing) but it's about them switching bodies with each others.

Kokoro started out pretty normal except that it managed to intrigue me with the line of characters that they have prepared. Obviously these characters aren't your average one dimensional characters and that is probably one of the reason why I ended up so engrossed with the episode. It makes me want to see the characters layer by layer, to know what secrets do they have and to learn their inner thoughts. In that sense, I think that the production studios have successfully made this show somewhat mysterious.

I really like Inaba for the simple fact that she's tough which makes her a perfect pair for Taichi. Damn it there I go creating my OTP already.

The art and animation, as I have mentioned before in my preview, look a lot like K-ON but I am not going to complain about it. It wasn't a distraction or a minus point for me, in fact, I rather like it. Familiarity ain't always bad after all.

The first few minutes of watching Kokoro Connect kind of made me a bit melancholy. This kind of anime about friendship always hits me where it hurts. It made me misses my friends. It also makes me grateful that I accepted my old job back. Spending times with them boys have helped me through some tough shits.

This show is definitely going to be in my must watch list.

First Impression: Sword Art Online

One of the few anime I look forward to this season for the simple fact that it is produced by A-1 Pictures. Yes, I am officially a studio-fag now.

Sword Art Online is a virtual game that allowed the players get into the game and mentally moves their body like they normally would. It was the first day the game was released officially and thousands of players gathered in that virtual world only to be trolled by the creator: they can't log out unless they clear the game. If they forced it then they are dead. If they didn't survive the game, their dead as well.

a daughter? already? >_>

Our protagonist, Kirito, was a player for the beta version so obviously he has some advantage. He kinda has  a complex - most possibly an extreme introvert. So it would be interesting to see him overcome all his inner conflict. I can't say much about the other characters because the only one they have introduce is Klein who is a noob and the first friend Kirito made in SOA.

Watching SOA somehow reminds me of Brave Hearts. Go figure. Also, the virtual online thingy, if you are a big fan of D.J. Machale's Pendragon series, then it should occurred to you that Veelox and SOA shared something similar. Kirito even said it himself: He thinks that the virtual world feels more real than the real world. I know some if not most of us can relate to that.

Being a biased jerk that I am, I can't find no fault in the arts, animation, seiyuu, BGM, OP or the ED which means I like it. As I have said in my preview, this show is definitely a must watch show for me.

I'm pretty sure most people disagree with me but meh who cares.

Reading a shounen ai (read: yaoi but no smut) with title Okujou no Bai-bai. I knew about this one-shot manga when I searched for an image to be used on my second post about crush. It's a really sweet manga focuses on two friends who finally become homo because one of the reacted following to his feelings and thus the other realized that he's exclusively homo for that friend of his only. Pfft. This is definitely one of the sweetest shounen-ai I have ever read so credit should be given. Rating: 8/10

First Impression: Moyashimon Returns

Moyashimon is one of the few anime that I keep wishing for a second season and for once my wish is granted.

But somewhat I feel like the first episode fall short of my expectation.

Or maybe I just have a bad that and that influenced my enjoyment for the show.

Moyashimon Returns still featured the cast from the first season. Sawaki can still see all the microbes and everyone knew about this except Oikawa. The only difference now are the fact that they all identify Yuuki Kei as female (which somewhat pissed me off) and they forget that Oikawa is a neat freak.

They still take time to explain to us how certain fermentation works and so on which failed to catch my interest at all.

It is a good thing then that they decided to stick with all the characters from the previous seasons because they were the one who made Moyashimon so enjoyable for me, especially the interaction between Sawaki and Yuuki.

First Impression: Chouyaku Hyakuninisshu - Uta Koi

I have high hopes for Utakoi because I am a sucker for romance. Thank goodness that this show delivers what it has promised. It has the necessary elements that made the translation and adaptation of  the poetry works exceptionally well.

The strength of this show definitely lies with the romance story line which is narrated by Fujiwara no Sadae, brother of Fujiwara no Takaiko. He tells the story of two different love stories, the first being that of his sister and Narihira and the other about Narihira's brother Yukihira and his wife Hiroko. Narihira and Yukihira have two very different personalities thus they approached romance and responded to love differently as well.

I am not a fan of the art and animation though. It's too one dimensional for me. Having said that, the character designs weren't bad, at least it make perfect sense why Narihira is a womanizer because he really does looks hot. It is also interesting to see the setup since the story took place in a different era of the old Japan. At the same time, they do not forget the culture of that time which is very important in my opinion for a historical anime.

I find myself liking both the OP and the ED, I thought they were both have catchy tunes. I'm not complaining about the seiyuus either. They all breathed in some personality in their characters. Narihira for example, sounds smexy as fuck, and this is credited to his seiyuu. Same goes for the tsundere Takaiko.

I like what I see but given how busy I am, I am not too sure whether or not I won't put this in the backlog after a few more episodes. That remains to be seen I guess but for the time being, I'll enjoy the romance. It's sweet and just makes me want to cuddle with my crush. Gosh I miss him terribadly T__T

Light Writings: Crush II

Welp, looks like we are having this conversation again after so many years. Well 2 years and 3 months to be exact. The last time I wrote about my crush, I was in a different state of mind where I know it can be nothing more than just that, a crush.

So many shits are at stake and me being me, I let everything go. And I do mean everything, for the sake of entertaining this crush I have.

It all started almost a month ago. One day he's just a kid that I don't give a shit about, the next moment he's this prince charming that I just can't seem to resist at all. If that wasn't crushing, I dunno what is.

datfeel >////>
The timing really sucks though because I am supposed to get married like... this Saturday (LMAO I am not even kidding about this). 7th July 2012 is the date my jerk has picked for our wedding day but since neither of us give a fuck, we made no preparations at all. I think I was saved by the bell, or in this case, by this new crush of mine.

This is real story bro, I am NOT making this up. The relationship between my jerk and I, it's pretty complicated, and only we understood how it worked. First of all, it's a long distance relationship (like most of my relationship are) since it's convenience for both of us. When I said we don't give a fuck about each other, I totally mean it. We met once in every 2-3 months. You figured that we would talk on the phone a lot right? Well, NO. We are both married to our work and that's that. I don't even care if he has an affair. I understand that man has needs.

And thus, he understood that I have needs to be fulfilled too.

So we broke off the engagement. Well, at least I did. Since I realized I have this crush on this guy, I have completely fallen out of love with my jerk. Instead of putting more effort into that relationship, I rather entertain my feelings for this guy. It's reckless as fuck but I know if I don't do this I will regret it and I don't do regrets.

I am not oblivious though. Given my age, there's nothing much I can do about this crush of mine. I understand the risk involved and I don't expect him to reciprocate my feelings either. Like I said, I have no expectation hence I won't be disappointed. I have calculated and am mentally prepared for everything. Besides, if it is just a crush, and I leave it be just like that, it will wear itself off as the time goes by. That was what happened to my first crush as well.

This is so mature of me, right? XD

I am not sure whether or not he knows. I think he knows otherwise he wouldn't lead me on. Urgh damn shouta, playing with fujoshi's heart...

But damn I missed him in all of my waking hours and let him in my dream when I'm asleep. I understand why girls give up their virginity now LOL

Crushing is bliss. It makes me feels like a teenager heh but I'll keep my chastity belt on. That is not negotiable.

p/s: So I guess you can't be in love with two different person at the same time. I tried but failed.

First Impression: Tari Tari

After watching Tari Tari, this show is definitely going to be included in my MUST WATCH list for this season. Having said that I still have no idea why. I just like the overall feelings I get from watching it and the fact that in this episode, the choir sang Reflectia by Eufonius, was totally made of win.

Tari Tari is somewhat a musical based show where the focus of this first episode is pretty much about how certain characters want to sing while the others don't. I am pretty sure half way through this show, they will manage to put aside their differences and end up having the choir group that Miyamoto works hard for. The interesting part about Tari Tari is that the only two characters that seem to know each other pretty well are Miyamoto and Sawa. Looking at the OP, looks like they both need to bond with the other three characters including the exchange student from Austria, who is pretty unique character himself since he learned what needed to be learned about Japanses culture through book and hence acting quite weird. Then there's Sakai who is the emo of the group which we will eventually learn why. Last but not least is Tanaka who to be honest, the character that I am interested in the most.

I can't find fault with any of the characters since they are all very strong individually. I don't even find Miyamoto annoying but instead thought that she is actually inspirational for she pretty much takes her life in her own hand and do what she must to achieve what she wants.

We all know P.A. Works can be exceptional when it comes to the art and animation and for Tari Tari they do not disappoint and deliver what is expected of them.

A good solid start indeed. I want more.
